The HLV-3 voltage proving unit is a battery operated, hand held device, used to verify the operation of multimeters and voltage testers, or any application where a voltage signal is required to test the operation of a test meter. The HLV-3 will test the device connected to it for functionality. The user simply has to connect the leads of a meter to the HLV-3 and press the TEST button to generate a voltage of either 230VAC or 415VAC to verify operation of the unit under test and release the button.
The HLV-3 is not a calibrator and it is not designed to check the calibration of a device. Should a calibration be required, please ask us about our traceable calibration service.
